Where Luxury Meets Adventure at The Red Earth Venue All-White Wedding

For this wedding day, it wasn’t merely the bride who wore white. The entire wedding day was dressed in the color! The color white with its luxurious and feminine touches became the theme of the day. See how this all-white wedding utilized various hues from the decor to the outfits of the wedding party and even the cake!

A Venue That Flows with Your All-White Wedding Vision

From start to finish at The Red Earth Venue, the day is completely yours. Your wedding timeline always includes a 12-hour rental period enabling the day to feel personalized and unhurried.

Having this time allows a couple to use every single portion of the venue to its fullest capacity. The entire property is yours for the day with exclusive access to the full extent of the grounds. Destrie and Brandon’s wedding event was nothing short of incredible. The choices they made were simple yet elegant against the rustic backdrop of the Moab, Utah desert.

Here’s how they made use of the different spots offered on and around the property throughout their wedding day timeline:

  • The day began at the nearby Canyonlands National Park for the couple’s wedding first look and bridal portraits.

  • These two then showed off the first of their all-white wedding selections with the decor used for their desert wedding ceremony at the venue’s Remote Desert Site. The site boasts of amazing views and includes ceremony benches.

  • They returned to The Glass Venue for the reception with the interior used for the reception dinner and the Iron Arches Brick Patio for dancing and fireworks. The side South Patio was utilized for cocktail hour and the Diamond Terrace (venue front door) for the sparkler exit.

We love how these two optimized the arches of the Brick Patio to add additional waterfall lighting for their dance party! Even though it had been a bit windy during the ceremony, it was exciting that later conditions allowed for fireworks in the same spot!

The white wedding theme extended even to the exquisite design of their ivory cakes by Event Cakes by Han. Other tasty inclusions were provided by Forage Sisters who crafted a farm-to-table Mediterranean feast for the special day complemented by two bars provided by The Bison Bar. These were a mix of local Moab and Utah wedding vendors hailing from Salt Lake City since the bride happens to be a local wedding vendor herself.

The Dress(es) That Inspired an All-White Wedding Day

There’s a good reason why this all-white wedding day theme started and ended with the traditional wedding dress color. It was dreamt up by a wedding dress designer who became a bride herself.

Destrie is one-half of the mother-daughter duo that owns and designs dresses for Bōda Bridal in Salt Lake City, Utah. Due to her experience designing, Destrie knew her exact wedding vision for both the dress and event design.

She explained, “I have designed thousands of dream gowns for so many amazing brides. I still tear up every time I see a new bride say ‘yes’” to a Bōda dress. It is hard to put into words the magic of designing MY own dream wedding gown!”

And what she means is she actually wore four different gowns for each part of the day! Her primary dress was custom created with crystal and clear beading on the straps and under the slit embodying the stars in the Moab night sky.

It’s so much fun working with couples who are also in the wedding industry assisting them in enjoying a day of their own. Even family and friends came together to help the planning and vendor team set up since it was such a big production!

Unique Use of The Red Earth Venue for an All-White Wedding Design

The Desert

Moab is a place that holds an undeniable connection for Destrie and Brandon. It was during a camping trip in Moab that they first fell in love. The Red Earth Venue backdrop is a canyon toward Dead Horse State Park which is also right where their love story began. Their strong connection to the Moab desert made this wedding site all the more special to them!

The two continue to visit Moab often for adventures returning to camp in that same valley. The venue could not have been a more perfect combination of everything needed to execute a white wedding style!

The Decor

The bride worked with Tara Baker of Terra Vida Events to integrate the white gown into every detail of the day, creating all-white wedding installations using linens, chiffon drapery, and white wedding florals. The color added such feminine touches to the REV space with the differing whites, soft textures, candles, glass and wedding flowers on acrylic pedestals.

This included wedding ceremony decorations covering the Remote Desert Site platform, benches and the desert floor itself in white fabric, candles floating in hurricane glass, and white wedding floral arrangements. Use of the color gold in the cutlery and other design accents were used throughout the wedding day design.

Nothing pops more beautifully than a neutral wedding color palette against the desert red rock backdrop of Moab, Utah. A more rustic flair even came into play during the wedding bridals when the groom donned his cowboy hat and later when both of them slipped them on during the reception party. Destrie and Brandon landed with a wedding that truly was everything they dreamed of as they started their forever together.
